Betting unit calculator
Convert a chosen unit value into dollars, or translate a dollar amount into units. Negative values can represent a recorded loss.
Your calculation
A worked example
If one unit is $20, a 1.5-unit amount is $30. A recorded −$50 result equals −2.5 units at that same unit value. Those conversions do not change whether a selection was profitable.
The math
Dollars = units × value of one unit. Units = dollars ÷ value of one unit. The unit value must be positive.
Common questions
Does one unit mean the same amount for everyone?
No. Here it is the dollar value you enter. Two people can report the same units while using different dollar amounts.
Why can the amount be negative?
Negative amounts allow conversion of recorded losses. A negative result is not an instruction to place a negative stake.
Is this the same as ROI?
No. Units express an amount relative to a chosen unit value. ROI compares net profit with total money staked. You need the stake totals to compute ROI.
